"Not up to Par"
Pros: scans even when it will not print
Cons: Breaks down quickly
Summary: Second unit to crater on me. Only about 150 pages on each then the gears that drive the paper mess up.
When it did print it was good - and scanning is fine for my use. But to break so soon and with low use?
No customer service for return under warranty on Saturday - maybe not unusual, but it does slow down the process of getting another unit.
Interface with Mac OS seems to be just fine. Nice size. Can't find the toner anywhere. Rating wizard did not want me to grade this as Abysmal - so I graded it as poor, and with good reason. The new machine broke very soon after the start of use and was replaced with a refurbished unit - that now has given up the ghost. What rating you give it?Updated
The 3rd unit has been around for a while. It squeaks and squeals when starting up and when printing. I hope it fails within the warranty period and not the day after. The toner does not adhere well sometimes - such as on labels. Finally found a toner cartridge. Just in the nick of time. The starter cartridge did cover much paper. If it the first two units had not failed and the 3rd was not squealing away I would have rated this machine above mediocre - but due to may experience the rating I previously used stays. such a shame the unit has potential. 2 Apr 07
