"The programmers at rhapsody should be ashamed."
Pros: Excellent concept
Cons: EXTREMELY BUGGY -- and they don't do anything about it
Summary: I have been with Rhapsody for two to three years. I love and hate it. Its a great concept. They have an okay music library. I tend to listen to alternative music (Fiery Furnaces, Nick Cave, Arcade Fire, Dizzy Rascal, Walkmen, Catpower, etc). I'd say 25% they do not have what I am looking for. That doesn't keep me from coming back though. The real problem with Rhapsody is its extremely buggy. Its user interface slows down regularly. Downloads take forever. The TO GO subscription is seeminly wrought with issues of licensing. I had to reformat my Creative MP3 player (may have been a Creative issue, I don't know). I often have to uninstall and install the Rhapsody program. These bugs/problems have been there for at least two years and Rhaposdy doesn't seem to solve the problems. I don't think its a situation that is individual to my computer since I have had similar problems on three computers. They really need to drop the program and start over. CNET's rating is way too generous. I hope this was helpful.

I really enjoyed the original version of Rhapsody I downloaded (2?). I'm about to cancel my account since Rhapsody 4 is such a piece of... It refuses to allow me to create playlists, which often disappear after they're created. I'm paying for a To Go subscription, but half the time the program will download the music but then refuse to allow me to transfer it to a Sansa device that worked fine until version 4. This is ridiculous and I'm amazed that this company does seem to care.
